Happy 1 month!

The hospital is great at being really involved and knowing what's going on, they made Shelby a poster and give her gifts and everything.

For most of her short life Shelby has had a hard time opening her eyes because of the swelling and things like that but she has definitely started to get better!
Looking around, so cute! And her pretty birthday bow is adorable!
She was finally ex ta-bated successfully on Monday and so Travis was able to hold her before her left! She already got him wrapped around her little finger!
Travis took this, it's a little blurry, but her tried! j/k

Recent Fashions of Shelby

The only "clothes" Shelby has are her blankets and her bows so we kind of go all out on them!
The birthday bow made by Jamie at bowlicious!

Purple to match her blankie!
Pretty in pink, my favorite bow also given to Shelby by Jamie!

Update (3 weeks old tomorrow!)

So this is Shelby with out any wires or tubes in her tummy, for the first time in her life! All the little red dots that you can see are where all of them were.

There is something wrong with her liver and the specialists can't figure out what that is so they are doing all different kinds of tests. They took her today to the Nucular Medicine department for a special liver test called a HYDA scan, anyways sense they took out all her wires and everything the past couple of days they only have one IV to put her meds in, but the dye they use for this scan couldn't be mixed with the meds so they had to put an IV in her head and I hate it! But if it helps them figure things out then I guess it's worth it.

Update...

Ok so lets just start from the beginning... sorry it took so long to post but lets just say I've been busy. So just keep going down because I uploaded a lot of pictures!
Me before c-section and huge!
Shelby right after, they thought she wouldn't be able to breath by herself but she proved them wrong, as she has continued to do.

This is her pretty face, and when I tell people that she was very swollen I don't think they ever really bleive how much but her's my proof, she looks like she was beaten (she wasn't) but just compare this picture to the last one of her on her and the difference is amazing!
This is her hygroma, in utero it was pretty much a bubble of extra fluid about twice the size of her head but at about 30 weeks is just deflated and no they don't know why or how just like everything else about her.
Her legs and arms were huge, I don't even think the pictures do her justice!

Very swollen!

Big baby, she weighed 8lbs and 4 onuces when she was born but has sense dropped signifigantly because it was all water weight as you can see.

Ok so this is my all time favorite so far... this is my family!
They had to life flight her to Primary Childern's even though it's pretty much just down this long hallway but whatever, they thankfully mad a pit stop so I could see her for the first time!

This is the day of her baby blessing.

She looks so pretty for every body!
Uncle Ransom, Terry Attkisson, Travis (of course), and Mark Love were in the circle.

One of my favorite days! We were able to hold her for 2 days total so far but are soon hoping for more!

So sweet!
So sense her toung is swollen she can't put it all the way in her mouth most of the time, so it drys out so we get to use these little wet spunges to clean and mouisterise it, she actually loves this!
This is Great Grandma LaVon, who Shelby is named after holding her, which she did for like 3 hours, can you say baby hogger!

Yeah I know what an attractive picture of your truly, but who cares it's not really about me is it?! Anyways this is the day before they int abated her and one of the only days we could hold her.

Cute baby! Cute bow, thanks to Shelby's favorite "baby tender" Carolyn! You can see her hygroma in this picture, it kind of just goes up and down along with all her other swelling
This is her right after open heart surgery, she has 3 chest tubes which are what are draining onto the floor into those bucket things. She has 3 heart lines that go directly into her right upper chamber of her heart and that's where all her medicine goes. She also has a PD Cath which drains the extra fluid by her kidneys and of course a catheter. And her pretty Christmas tree of meds to the left and the vent to the right.
I just love her little life vest! But this is her right after surgery.

This is right after they closed her chest. Her teddy is helping hold up her tubes and she likes to hold things so I gave her a little tube to hold, so cute!

This is one of my favorite pictures, isn't she so cute! She's actually being punished in this picture because she kept pulling on her breathing tube which she did pull out once, so they put a mitten on her. Her other had has her ART line in it which is where they draw blood and keep check on her blood pressure.
So this is her on high flow which worked for about 18 hours but she was working so hard to breath that they were affraid that she would get tired and stop, so they put her on C PAP.
This is C PAP, it's one step down from the ventlator. Don't you just love her little hat!
This is Shelby after they took out her 3 heart lines, so the black dots are from those and where her chest tubes were. The blue lines are her pacers, so in case her heart stops beating they can "jump start" her! But they actually took those out today but sorry no picture of that yet. That's also one of her many binkies but sense her toung is swollen they don't really stay in so they just sit there kind of but she likes it, so who cares! I will try to up date more but honestly I'm pretty busy.
